The Cambridge Affordable Vintage Fair has been one of our favourite vintage fairs for coming on 4 years now. Not only do we love all 45 of our regular traders and the lovely Vicky who runs the Old Tea Party but we also love the stunning venue The Cambridge Guildhall.
We thought it was about time we added some little extra’s to Cambridge and have added an interactive element. So, we are pleased to introduce to you the lovely Anne Lott..

Anne grew up surrounded by a family who worked in the rag trade. Her grandmother embroidered and beaded dresses in the 1920’s. Whilst her mother made blouses which were sold in high street boutiques in the 1960’s. “I would come home from school and help by cutting up labels and turning corners.” States Anne. “While raising my family I went to college and took a City and Guilds in fashion design and pattern cutting. The need to make your own clothes is no longer a necessity as so many are imported from abroad. These skills are slowly being lost, and they should be re-established for future generations.”
Here here we say! Anne will be showing you how to measure yourself in preparation to make your own toile during our Cambridge Vintage Fair. You’ll find Anne in the small hall next to the vintage cafe and she will be holding two sessions throughout the day once at 11:30am and once more at 1:30pm.
